Patience

sol March 6,2016

Patience is a virtue, so they say. Patience is learned, patience is a desirable quality and patience is something that will help you to succeed.

How do you learn patience? Are you suppose to sit around and just wait until you feel calm about waiting? Are you suppose to find other things to occupy your time and distract you until you finally get what you have been waiting for? Is patience lost because of immature need for instant gratification?

There are people who can wait, calmly and without worry. Do they have things that they think about instead of obsessing over the thing that they are waiting for? These people have it completely together. They can wait and wait and not go crazy until they finally see the results they are waiting for.

Then there are the others, the ones who know what they want, they know how to get it and there is no waiting required. They just make it happen. There is no complaining, there is not relying on others, they just make it happen. Do they lack patience or do they just not need it because it always seems to happen for them?

Patience- it is a virtue, it is a desirable quality! It is something that some people have to work their whole lives to learn. Unfortunately, those people who need to learn it are the ones who have to wait the longest. Patience!

  1. Ha! So true. I have heard many times: Don’t pray to God for patience, He will teach you how to have it. That doesn’t sound appealing at all.

  2. I think about these things, too. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s all about letting go. Do whatever you need to do to get what you want and then let the universe take care of the rest. Sometimes it’s hard for me to put this into practice, but when I do I feel so much better.

  3. Enjoyed reading Patience. It seems like the older I get the harder it is to hang on to patience so it’s a constant battle. Thanks
